The sports car will be based on a 100mm shorter Subaru Legacy platform and will be powered by a 2.0L four cylinder boxer engine from the Impreza with a power output of 190 hp. A 6-speed gearbox will be offered initially with an automatic transmission being offered later. Weight is expected to be around 1200kg.

The fenders are new for 2011, raising the rear decklid for better aerodynamics and creating a more windswept face with a new grille at the center. A revised dash cages the instruments in separate, attractive binnacles, and a large shingle of loss-luster plastic resembling brushed pewter contains the navigation system with its revamped controls. On the Limited, chrome slivers on the door handles and lower doors add a blaze of old-fashioned brightwork.
There are just two versions: the base Avalon and the Avalon Limited, tested here and now coming with standard leather and a sunroof. Otherwise, Toyota’s Arthurian super-Camry remains unchanged down to its six-speed automatic and 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6, which delivers 60 mph in 6.6 seconds. That’s 0.3 second slower than our previous Avalon test car, but punch the gas in traffic, and the Avalon moves out. That’s all most Avalon drivers care about.
Expressway travel is a quiet, efficient affair, though the brakes have an abrupt light-switch feel and the steering is slow and somewhat lifeless in the middle, so you’re just a bit more active correcting the Avalon’s path as it’s disturbed by crosswinds and pavement changes. Perhaps the owner clinics reveal that Avalon buyers like to be reminded of their first high-school cars.

2011 Chevy Volt Is More Sportier Than Previous Designs |
The crew is in the middle of ironing out the details of this vehicle, but so far they make some changes to the external featured of the 2011 Chevy Volt.
The changes: The plug was relocated under a flap compared to the previous design where the plug in placed in front fender. The headlamps and tailamps may merely be present on the design since the Volt is still early in its development cycle and there are some pre-production bits that are not yet necessary for testing purposes.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, an evolution of nine lines of Mercedes-Benz models harking since the mid-1950s, is still the world’s best-selling luxury flagship sedan. The current generation, the W221 S-Class, premiered in 2005. As in previous S-Class models, the current S-Class is sold in standard and long wheelbase versions and offers V6, V8, V12, and diesel powertrains.
2011 should bring us a full redesign of the S-Class. From the renderings, the heavy influence from the F700 is visible in the front end and in the tail lights. If this rendering is accurate, they’ve thankfully smoothed out some of the more funky design elements from the F700. The body takes the CLS-style sedan-that-thinks-it’s-a-coupe roofline and terminates it in a Bentley-esque trunkline and fenderline separation.

Performance wise Mercedes will carry over the V6, V8, V12 and diesels, but with the new CAFE 35 regulations (and the success of the Lexus LS600hL), hybrids will become a priority. Mercedes has already confirmed plans for the 275hp mild-hybrid S400 variant for 2009. The S400 will be the first hybrid car that uses lithium ion batteries.
Also in the works is the S300 Bluetec Hybrid, which the company showed at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. The S300 Bluetec Hybrid is powered by a 4-cylinder hybrid module that produces 224 horsepower with a maximum torque 560 Nm. Even with that performance the Mercedes S300 Bluetec Hybrid will deliver 44 mpg.
So look out for the hotter and greener 2011 Mercedes-Benz S-Class in late 2010 as a 2011 model year. In the meantime, look out for a refresh to the front end of the current S-class in 2009 that mimics the two-boxes headlight theme that will also come on the next CLK.

2011 Mercedes CL-Class Preview |
Mercedes presented the CL-Class back in 1998 (with this moniker), and since then it knew three different generations: first between 1998 to 2000, seconds from 2000 to 2006 and third from 2007 to present. But even if the third generation was just launched, Mercedes is working on the fourth generation.
With design cues taken from the F700 unveiled last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the 4th generation CL-Class is scheduled to be launched in 2011 and sales will begin in 2012, same time with the next generation S-Class.
Even if the F700 Concept is not a beautiful car, it really show the future design of the entire Mercedes line-up.As previously announced, the F700 is a preview version of the 2012 S-Class, but we’re pretty sure the they won’t stop here!

The SLK roadster has served Mercedes Benz well over its life since introduction in 2004, and like all cars its once-cutting-edge design has become somewhat tired, despite a mid-cycle facelift. An all-new SLK is in the works, however, and it’s been spotted on numerous occasions testing in Germany.
Aside from the car’s general proportions not much is clear due to generous slabs of camouflage cladding. Nevertheless, the car’s LED daytime running lights, common to all of Mercedes’ most recent models, are obvious. The door-mounted side mirrors stand out further on thinner stalks than the outgoing model, while the general proportions of the car with the top up seem to reflect a longer hood and more rearward seating position

Mercedes Benz To Develop Electric SLS |

Three years after its introduction, Mercedes-Benz has given the CL a complete re-designed look, with many stylish changes. What follows is a list of specs included in the new edition:
* Its powered by a 429-horsepower twin-turbo V-8 engine in CL550 4MATIC trim which cuts fuel use by 10-15%
* The CL600, the flagship model, gets its motivation from a 510-horsepower twin-turbo V-12, delivering 612 pound-feet of torque
* The CL600 shaves 0.4 seconds off the CL550′s time, hitting 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds
* Revised exterior appearance, with the V-shaped grille and curved headlights flowing into the hood’s profile
* The new front bumper features triple air intakes, plenty of chrome, and an LED daytime running light strip along the brake cooling inlets
* At the rear, the tail lights are redesigned, and LED turn indicators complete the modern lighting
* A sport package which adds 19-inch alloy wheels and more aggressive body work is also available
* Bi-xenon headlights with active curve illumination, adaptive highbeams, active lane-keeping assist, active blind spot assist, PRE-SAFE braking, attention assist, active body control
* Active Blind Spot Assist which detects a lane change that would be too dangerous and provides corrective braking to avoid a collision
MotorAuthority has posted some great computer illustrations of what should be the next E-Class Cabrio (aka Convertible). While the E-Class Sedan and even the Coupe will be unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show in March, followed by a release in middle of 2009 sometime, the Cabrio will be release a year later in 2010.
It’s said that just like the E-Class Sedan, the Cabrio will be heavily based on the ConceptFASCINATION that we saw at the Paris Auto Show. The car will be 10cm longer than its predecessor as well as have a new folding hard top.
Engines wil include the new 272hp (203kW) 3.5L V6 engine as well as Mercedes’ 5.5L V8. There is no doubt that AMG will equip it with one of their 6.2 V8 with 481hp.

Shown here are the first and the most convincing computer generated renderings of the 2011 Mercedes Benz CLS. We have seen a few test mules in the past, but all heavily camouflaged. The artist responsible for creating these images is said to have taken clues from the Spy shots that we featured two months back.
The front end looks bang-on, would perfectly fit under the camoulfage. We’re not so sure about the ultra-long tail section though. It makes the car look more like a sedan than a coupe. Having said that, we’ll have to make do with the renderings, until the offical images are released in 2010.
Mercedes-Benz has just informed us that there will be no model year 2010 SL550, SL600, SL63 AMG, or SL65 AMG. We will sell the remaining 2009s until the end of the year and then the 2011 SL-Class will be launched in the 1st quarter of 2010. The 2011 will not be a body style change – that is expected for model year 2013. More details should be available soon.

Today, Harry Stoffer of Automotive News Europe is reporting that future buyers of the Chevy Volt may be eligible for up to a $7,500 tax credit.
New Honda City 2011
Salam. Hi guys. I am back with the brand new artwork of mine. How do I start this column? Ok, I called this as a B-segment car with C-segment characteristics. Initiated from Hyrax Sketches (refer) http://hyraxsketch.blogspot.com/2010/04/proton-concept-design-idea.html and with some modification, I derived it in different way and try to find my own identity. Btw, thanks to Firdaus Hyrax.
This model actually was derived from multiple car design. There are Proton Emas, Audi TT 2008, Honda Civic FD2 and Hyrax Concept Design. But for this model, I named it as Honda City 2011. Because, I saw Honda City in certain of view.
Offered for sale a new Honda City, has some visual elements of the Accord model. An increase of 17 hp engine of the vehicle in the City than the previous model adds a 100 hp power. This extra power, the new City, 100 kilometers emergence 1.6 seconds 11.8 seconds to perform pull-down offers. Turkey, 14 thousand units sold so far this year, the Honda City is scheduled to start as a 2 thousand 500 units sold.
